An existing five story warehouse was being redeveloped into private dwelling units. The upper corner of the building was selected by the Owner because of its expansive views of the downtown skyline, market area, and distant river bluffs. As the 2,500 sf space was designed for two people, the requirements could be limited to one bedroom, a private den, a large master bath, a kitchen, and living space. The floor plan is simply organized by views and daylight.

Jury Comments: Every square inch of this loft is beautifully resolved from a standpoint of plan and elevation. There is a true sense of elegance that is embodied in the design’s restraint.
