"Sacred Spaces: The Houses of Worship Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright"

AIA Nebraska, AIA Lincoln, and the Architectural Foundation of Nebraska cosponsored the documentary film presentation, "Sacred Spaces: the Houses of Worship Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright" at the Ross Theater Wednesday evening April 22, 2009.

The film's producer, Michael Miner, was there in person making a delightful introduction highlighting the triumphs and tribulations of creating such a documentary. The ten houses of worship designed from 1910 to 1958 by Wright were beautifully illustrated and the documentary was interspersed with older film footage of Wright in action at some of the building sites.

The 52-minute presentation was followed by a lively question and answer period which closed with Michael Miner's challenge to the UNL College of Architecture students present to step up their design efforts. By the way, don't ask Michael Miner to play poker – he has been seen playing professionally on national television.
