Nebraska Political Action Committee

AIA Nebraska is making its voice heard and we need your help.

Architects by statute are specifically charged with the protection of the public health, safety and welfare in regard to design of the built environment. It is therefore in response to this, public interest and responsibility that the AIA holds that only architects and engineers licensed through examination possess the necessary education, training and experience to carry out and be responsible for this public trust.

With Senators’ term limits in its second cycle since the Nebraska law passed; there were a total of 26 legislative races that took place in 2008. Fifteen State Senators were term limited, ten were eligible to run for re-election and one Senator ran for the unexpired balance of his predecessor’s term. Link to Nebraska Unicameral.

To continue to effectively represent architecture in the State of Nebraska, we need to do a better job of influencing legislation and public decision making in Nebraska.

Fortunately AIA Nebraska has formed a Political Action Committee (PAC) to help elect public officials in Nebraska who appreciate the value that we bring to our communities and State.
