Cristy Joy, AIA Conference Chair

Cristy K. Joy, AIA LEED AP NCARB Passionate about her field and deeply committed to her clients, she is known for her boundless energy and personal responsiveness to the needs of every project. Cristy focuses to integrate both innovative and traditional materials and methods into intelligent and well–developed design, and successfully managing the collaborative process of architecture and construction on time and within budget. Her reputation for responsive design and technical competence has led to many repeat clients and steady growth in industrial, education, religious, institutional, commercial, and residential projects over the years.

She is a Managing Partner at ARCHI + ETC. – an Architecture firm with locations in Lincoln and Omaha that focuses on Design–Build delivery. Among many Professional Activities, Cristy serves as a Lincoln/Lancaster Planning Commissioner and participating in her favorite hobby, she is President of the local ESS Club of Eastern Nebraska with the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association.

Cristy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln Campus. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of NCARB and a member of the American Institute of Architects. More than anything, Cristy is a facilitator of partnerships and alliances between groups and individuals who seek to use architecture and design to effect positive change to our world. Her desire for teamwork inspire us all to raise up the individuals strengths for the good of all and is evident in her charism and smile.
